Best Apple iPad Case – Part 2 :)

I mentioned in my original Best Apple iPad Case post that I had ordered a total of 5 iPad cases and covers in my search for something better than the flimsy Apple iPad Case. The first iPad cover I mentioned in the video came from HandHeld Items. The two pieces I ordered from the site were:

  • iPad GriponPad Rubberized Hard Case - Rubberized Purple (Free Screen Protector)
  • Attachable Kick Stand with Adjustable Viewing Function For iPad Rubberized Cases or Looper Skins

Total : $26.98 + shipping

HandHeld Items carries a variety of iPhone, iPod and iPad accessories. They have products for the Blackberry, Zune, you name it. They offer easy checkout and super-fast shipping. While I'm not happy with the plastic iPad "kickstand", I don't plan on returning my order. I'll make use of the screen protectors, and the purple case might just come in handy around the house.

apple ipad case reviewThe inexpensive leather iPad case I ordered from Amazon.com is the DMS Deluxe Leather multi-view Case/Folio with Stand Feature for Apple iPad. It sells for only $15.95 and is actually a very nice iPad case & stand option.

I can see me using this case as a stand when I'm working at a table or desk with the Apple Wireless Bluetooth Keyboard. It's quite a bit cheaper than the BookArc iPad Stand, and of course doubles as a protective case so you can grab it and go.

But in my opinion, the best Apple iPad Case, and the one I'll be using the most (especially when I'm out & about), is the Marware Eco-Vue iPad Case. It's well padded, has a firm fit, the hand strap is snug and exactly what I needed in an iPad case, both for traveling and for everyday use. Plus, it looks good!

Of the 5 Apple ipad cases and covers I've tried and used so far, the
Marware Eco-Vue has been the absolute best. Definitely a keeper! πŸ˜‰

The Apple iPad is new, and there are tons of third-party accessories hitting the market. As you've seen, some of them are less than practical. Do your homework and check out reviews before you choose the product(s) to protect your investment!

Best,

p.s. I have coupon codes for a lot of the products at HandHeld Items. If you let me know what you're interested in (laptop decals, Droid cases, iPad accessories, etc) I'll be happy to look and see if I have a coupon code for it. Just leave a comment below!

  1. Hi Lynn,

Finally, the quest for the best iPad case is over. Thanks for sharing a video review.

With your recommendation, I believe Marware will have to double their production with Eco-Vue. πŸ™‚

    Again, thanks for sharing!

  2. Your link goes to Amazon - and it's not for sale yet...

Here's a link to their direct site: http://www.marware.com/products/iPad/Eco-Vue-for-iPad

  3. Congrats on finding the right case! Great example of a review post - love it πŸ™‚

  4. Looks like you found a really nice case. I would definitely get the Marware one out of all the ones you reviewed.

  5. Nice product reviews, I just watched to pick up product reviews tips via video πŸ˜‰ Don't own an ipad and probably won't be buying one anytime soon, but based on your reviews I would purchase the leather case because you can adjust the stand to an angle that's comfortable for your eye-level whereas with the Marware case it's not adjustable.

    Just my 2 cents πŸ™‚

  6. Hi Lynn,

You really are good with product reviews! You almost had me buying that Marware Eco-Vue, it's just that I "still" don't have an iPad "yet", though I can feel that I'll be having one any time soon. By the way, I have noted some of the writing styles you have used here, I hope that's ok with you Lynn. Thanks!

    Regards,
    Jason

case for the ipad is required for the ppl who use ipad because the case protect the ipad from dust, direct sunlight and save our ipad to be scratchees too.

Great info, Lynn. I have bookmarked this for when I get my iPad.

    Thanks.

  9. What a cool Ipad case. Video shows the nice demonstration. Thanks

I bought a dodocase it's nice and I have a bookarc (way overpriced) but I'm too lazy to make my own so it does the trick, to me the iPad is too big to drop and I find it a hassle to use the dodocase so it's now naked, when Freitag release an iPad sleeve I'll use that but lifes too short and putting (uglying) a case on an iPad is like wearing a raincoat when it's not raining - pointless.
Thanks for the great reviews by the way, you're a sexy lady and easy to watch, thanks

  11. Sorry, I don't agree. By my preferences, that Eco case is way too huge and bulky, and looks ugly when open. I bought an iPad for a sleek, light, alternative to a laptop. If I'm going to carry all that bulk then I feel I may as well just carry my laptop.

Considering the extensive testing of iPad cases you did, I decided to follow your recommendation and got the Marware Eco-Vue iPad Case and I am very happy with it! I am not able to compare it to other cases, however everything you said about it was indeed true. Thanks πŸ™‚

  13. I Agree this is a nice case but still i think it's a little bit big! No new cases like this but some smaller??

Thanks for the review on these ipad covers. After watching your review, I have narrowed it down to the two leather cases. I love that the Evo ones has a hand slot in the back but I'm not sure I would be able to hold my ipad that way.

I do have a question about the Marware case... Do you find it to be bulky? Would you compare its size and weight with the Acer Aspire One?

    • The Marware Ecovue iPad Case does add a lot of bulk to your iPad BUT it's awesome for traveling and very secure for my usual everyday "throw it in my bag and go" type use. I also love the hand strap on it for using when speaking. Or when I'm using it one-handed in line or anytime I'm not sitting down. I learned my lesson about how easy these things are to drop and shatter! πŸ˜›

I also like the other leather case I mentioned, especially at my desk, because the stand is convenient. But I just ordered a new iPad stand from Griffin. I'll share it in a video/post this week...

  15. These cases are just for iPad 1, correct? I'm looking for something a little more secure than the standard Apple cover for my iPad 2.

  16. Thanks for a great review article! I think I'm going to buy the cheap leather one you have mentioned it looks like gret value for money.
